Big News for Early Childhood Educators!

Starting from December 7, 2024, the skills assessment for Early Childhood Educators will officially transfer from AITSL to ACECQA!

Huge Benefits with Relaxed Requirements! 📉✨

You might think it's too good to be true: ❌ No need for IELTS 7788 scores ❌ No work experience or teaching license required

All you need is a one-year ACECQA-approved course to pass the skills assessment!

Here's the Breakdown:

1️⃣ Qualification Requirements:

  • Applicants must hold an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) qualification or an equivalent.

  • If you don’t currently have an ACECQA-approved qualification, ACECQA will conduct a “dual assessment” of your credentials based on the National Quality Framework (NQF). Additional evidence might be required.

2️⃣ English Language Proficiency Requirements: You can meet the English language requirement in one of the following ways:

  • Completing at least one year of full-time higher education in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, the UK, or the USA.

  • Achieving IELTS scores of 7 in each band (tests must be taken within the past three years).

  • Scoring level 4 in ISLPR for listening, speaking, reading, and writing (tests must be taken within the past three years).

3️⃣ Additional Considerations:

  • ACECQA may also consider professional references from employers in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, the UK, or the USA as supplementary evidence of English language proficiency.

This is a great opportunity for those looking to become Early Childhood Educators in Australia!
